ACT... (no action needed, just read on...)

Do you want to cycle somewhere a bit different?

If you are passionate about cycling a bit further afield and often away from the main stream routes, and if you love good food and staying in specially selected 4* or upmarket 3* hotels, and if you prefer not to organize such a trip yourself, then Martyn will be your man!

ACT - Adventure (or Awesome) Cycling Tours

From picking up your bike to delivering it back to your home address after the trip, and everything in between, Martyn will take care of it!

Over 10 years ago, Martyn turned his career in logistics from organizing goods & people to organize bikes and people! ACT was born!

From the humble beginnings of organizing his first tour from Land's End to John O'Groats (Lauren & David on the picture were his very first customers) to the many European Tours nowadays on offer, ACT came a long way!

Rebecca, as she likes to point out whenever possible, did the French Pyrenees Tour with ACT last year and thoroughly enjoyed it!

What she doesn't point out very often though, is the fact that she didn't actually cycle over all those high mountain passes, but instead, was chauffeured by ACT driver Mike in the comfort of the company van and instead of pedalling up those mountains covered in sweat, she was busy making delicious sandwiches, flapjacks, fruit & drinks to be available for the riders at the feeding stops...

Best sandwiches ever I was told! You might wonder where she got some of those recipes from...

For a bit more reassurance how good ACT is and why you should consider booking your next cycling holiday with Martyn, I can think of at least two more reasons why you should do so:

  • Apparently, after-ride and pre-bed beers are a common feature on those tours. All accompanied by the usual cyclists banter and laughter!

  • But also, I was assured by Martyn, he only ever lost one cyclist on tour. As it is Sod's Law, it was the one who left the mobile phone in the van... a few busy hours later, it all turned out well though and more banter was created!

Thank you...

On day 3, we had the pleasure to stay at Amanda's and Martyn's place near Bury St Edmunds. What a great evening it was!

After a long and wet day in the saddle, we were served delicious beef casserole, veggies and potato gratin cooked by Amanda followed by likewise delicious tiramisu made by Lauren - thank you very much!

And yes, there was a lot of that two wheeled banter going on...
